College Prep Done Right

Description

In this course, students will learn how to chisel themselves to fit the colleges of their choice. The course is a hands-on course which covers the entire admission process.  Students will find their top 10 colleges, research majors, write essays for college applications, complete college applications, search for scholarship money, and fill out financial aid forms.  By the end of the semester, seniors should have all of their college applications completed, financial aids forms finished, a myriad of essays saved and should have applied for numerous scholarships.

Cost

This is a one-semester course.  The cost of the course is $80 per month and $25 for materials. Registration fees for homeschool classes at various locations (LAC, Metro, etc) also apply.

Lectures and Class Time

Class time will primarily be spent on instruction. Students should bring notebooks, writing utensils, and either a laptop, smartphone or tablet to each class.

There is no textbook for this class.

Homework, Tests and Grades

This is a pass/fail course. Students are expected to come prepared and to complete assignments on time.

Internet Access

Access to a computer with a high speed internet connection is required for all students. Students will be required to conduct research and to write essays during classroom time.
