American History

Our area of focus will be from the early 1400s, beginning with Native American tribes and Explorers to the present day. We will focus primarily upon studying the formation of the United States, its leaders, politics, thought, music, art, industry and people of this great country. Class time will be comprised of lectures, group discussions, current events and presentations. Students will also learn all the states, capitals and some major geographic formations in the USA!!! Come learn about the past and see how it is influencing our lives today! Tuition: Sept-May $65/mo (If students are enrolled in the Companion Class offered by Mrs. Bailey: American History AND American Lit/Comp, $5.00 will be taken off of the American History class tuition.) Fees: One time $20.00 fee for photo copying primary/secondary sources for students to be used through the year Textbook: More than likely The American Nation. Information will be sent regarding text when students sign up for class.
