AP Art History is an introductory college-level art history course. Students cultivate their understanding of art history through analyzing works of art and placing them in historical context as they explore concepts like culture and cultural interactions, theories and interpretations of art, the impact of materials, processes, and techniques on art and art making, and understanding purpose and audience in art historical analysis.

Students enrolled in AP Art History need to be comfortable viewing art and have an appropriate attitude towards art.

Class will consist of lectures, discussion, viewing art, homework assignments, projects and preparation for the AP exam in the spring.

It is NOT necessary for students to take the AP Art History exam unless they choose to.

Textbook: Information will be given when students enroll for the class.

Tuition: 80.00 per month

Fees: One time $50.00 fee for photocopying primary/secondary/test sources for students to be used through the year. Please note that this fee does not cover the AP Art History spring exam. That will be the responsibility of each student should they decide to take the AP Art History exam.
