This is a high school level course that introduces the student to the Spanish language through listening, reading, writing and speaking. Material is presented in dialogs, pronunciation lessons, cultural notes, and practice exercises. Content includes an introductory unit on greetings, numbers, dates, weather and time and grammar that is taught within the context of familiar subjects such as friends, pastimes and family. Students will learn nouns, pronouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, etc. Conjugation and tenses of regular and irregular verbs will be stressed.
