The class was developed for students in the 6th – 8th grades, and it meets Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE). The All-Write Lab capitalizes on the fascination young people have with multi-media and uses interactive techniques to make writing more accessible. “All-Write will put FUN, in the fundamentals”. Students learn to conceptualize, draft, revise, edit, and 'publish' a final written work or essay. Every writing project is designed to improve writing, and oral presentation skills. The students are given an Interactive Notebook (INB). They use the notebook to store weekly writing activities and instructions. Students will also read and analyze other written works. The ultimate goal of this course is to promote a learning lifestyle, not formulaic procedures.
