If you answered D, you are correct!  Writing is all these things and more.  No matter the career, effective communications skills are essential.  

This process-based course will give students the training necessary to achieve crucial communication and writing skills.  The 1.0 class is designed as an introductory writing course for students in the 6th – 8th grades, and it meets Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE).  course number :23.08300 .

The All-Write  Writing Basics Lab uses interactive techniques to make writing more accessible.  All-Write will put FUN, in the fundamentals”. Students learn the basic writing process developing the following strands:  drafting, revising, editing and 'publishing  written works..  The course enhances the writing skills necessary to promote and enrich basic communication skills. Students are given an Interactive Notebook (INB), to store weekly writing activities and instructions.  


The ultimate goal of this course is to promote a learning lifestyle, not formulaic procedures.  The top priority is to help students become comfortable expressing their thoughts with a curriculum that inspires creativity and self expression. It is a language lab, adherent to the five strands of the GSE course standards, which include: Writing, Speaking, Vocabulary, Reading Literary and Informational Texts, Listening Skills. and Critical Thinking.

Grades will be based on homework, quizzes, papers, participation and projects.
