This course covers the necessary standards for High School U.S. History for the

State of Georgia per www.georgiastandards.org

 

Course Description: This year-long course covers American History from Pre-America through the Present Era.  A Biblical view will be woven into each lesson.

The class will focus on 8 Major Topics and more…

·        Pre-America

·        The Thirteen Colonies

·        Struggle for Independence

·        Confederation & Constitution

·        Civil War

·        Progress Era

·        World Wars

·        New Era of American History & Development

 

The class will include lectures, note taking, class discussions and student presentations.  The class will use a primary source (BJU Press United States H1story), other scholarly writings, with respect to the outlined topics listed in lieu of a textbook.

Cost: $90/month for 9 months, due at the first of each month

Aug. 1st through April 1st

Plus a one-time $30 Supply Fee

10% off for semester or full year payment in advance

 

Final grades will be a function of:

20%  Homework

20%  Quizzes

20%  Mid-term exam

30%  Final exam

10%  Optional extra-credit/bonus work
