Executive functioning skills—such as time management, organization, self-regulation, and goal-setting—are among the strongest predictors of a student’s long-term success. These essential skills begin developing in early adolescence and are especially important for homeschooled students who are growing into independent learners.

Designed with the homeschool environment in mind, this course equips students with the tools they need to manage academic responsibilities confidently and reduce stress. Through a supportive, growth-minded approach, students will learn how to plan ahead, stay focused, and build productive study habits that support both academic and personal development.

What students will learn:

  • How to recognize their unique learning strengths and challenges
  • The value of a growth mindset and how to build resilience
  • Strategies for emotional regulation and managing distractions
  • How to create a calm and efficient at-home learning space
  • Techniques for setting priorities, managing time, and completing tasks
  • Tools for organizing materials, taking effective notes, and preparing for assessments
  • Practical tips to get work done more efficiently
  • Reinforcement activities to strengthen executive functioning over time

Whether your child is new to independent learning or ready to take their organization and study skills to the next level, this course provides the guidance and structure to help them thrive.

Cost:

$80 Registration Fee. Student must be enrolled in at least one other Eastside class.
