If you answered D, you are correct!  Writing is all these things and more.  No matter the career, effective communication skills are essential.  

GET IT WRITE  is an ELA Literary Writing Course.  It aligns with the five strands of the GSE standards: Writing, Speaking, Vocabulary, Reading Literary and Informational Texts, Listening Skills, and Critical Thinking. This process- and project-based course provides students with essential communication and writing skills. Specifically designed as an introductory writing class for students in grades 6 through 8, it aligns with the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE).

This course employs interactive techniques to make writing more engaging and accessible. We have FUN while mastering the fundamentals. Students explore the essential stages of the writing process: drafting, revising, editing, and publishing. Through these activities, the course aims to enhance writing skills while fostering effective communication.  The ultimate goal is to cultivate a learning lifestyle rather than simply following formulaic procedures. We prioritize helping students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts in an environment designed to inspire creativity and self-expression.

• Requirements/Expectations for entry:
• Students are expected to know how to type or be enrolled in a course. 
  
• Students are expected to be able to write a paragraph. 
• Students are expected to dedicate one hour a day to homework.
• Students are expected to have a Gmail account. 
• Parents are expected to spend 15 minutes per day with the student to check homework answers, provide guidance, and answer questions.
•  A parent must attend the first 15 minutes with his/her student on the first day of class.

Grades are based on: Homework, Class Participation, Projects, Tests, and Quizzes.

TUITION DETAILS:

Two ways to pay:

Full:          $450 per semester--due at the beginning of each semester. (August and January)

Monthly:   $150 for the first month of each semester. (August and January)                                                                                                 This includes tuition and materials costs.

                 The three remaining $100 payments are due at the beginning of each month.
