If you answered D, you are correct!  Writing is all these things and more.  No matter the career, effective communication skills are essential.  

This process-and project-based course will give students the training necessary to achieve crucial communication and writing skills.  The 1.0 class is designed as an introductory writing course for students in the 6th – 8th grades, and it meets Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE).  course number :23.08300 .

The All-Write  Writing Basics Lab uses interactive techniques to make writing more accessible.  “All-Write will put FUN, in the fundamentals”. Students learn the basic writing process by developing the following strands:  drafting, revising, editing, and 'publishing written works.  The course enhances the writing techniques to promote and enrich basic communication skills. Students are given an Interactive Notebook (INB), to store weekly writing activities and instructions.  

The ultimate goal of this course is to promote a learning lifestyle, not formulaic procedures.  The top priority is to help students become comfortable expressing their thoughts with a curriculum that inspires creativity and self-expression. It is a language lab, adherent to the five strands of the GSE course standards, which include: Writing, Speaking, Vocabulary, Reading Literary and Informational Texts, Listening Skills. and Critical Thinking.

• Requirements/Expectations for entry:
• Students are expected to know how to type or be enrolled in a course. 
  
• Students are expected to be able to write a paragraph. 
• Students are expected to dedicate one hour a day to homework.
• Students are expected to have a Gmail account. 
• Parents are expected to spend 15 minutes per day with the student to check homework answers, provide guidance, and answer questions.
•  A parent must attend the first 15 minutes with his/her student on the first day of class.

Grades are based on: Homework, Class Participation, Projects, Tests, and Quizzes.

TUITION DETAILS:

Two ways to pay:

Full:          $450 per semester--due at the beginning of each semester. (August and January)

Monthly:   $150 for the first month of each semester. (August and January)                                                                                                 This includes tuition and materials costs.

                 The three remaining $100 payments are due at the beginning of each month.
