Health Education God's Way Spring Semester

students with the knowledge, skills, and decision-making strategies needed to
live healthy, balanced, and productive lives physically, mentally, emotionally,
socially, digitally, and financially. Students will explore real-world topics
that impact teenagers daily while developing personal responsibility,
self-awareness, and healthy coping strategies. Throughout the semester, students will examine the importance of positive
health habits including nutrition, sleep, hygiene, exercise, stress management,
and preventive care. Students will learn how daily choices influence long-term
physical and emotional health. The course also addresses the dangers and consequences of drugs, vaping,
tobacco, and alcohol use. Students will investigate peer pressure, addiction,
media influence, decision-making, and the short-term and long-term effects
substances have on the body, brain, relationships, and future goals. Mental and digital wellness lessons focus on emotional health, anxiety,
depression awareness, self-esteem, social media influence, screen balance,
cyber safety, and healthy technology use. Students will learn strategies for
maintaining emotional wellness and protecting their mental health in a digital
world. In the “Mind & Money” unit, students will explore how mindset,
emotions, habits, and financial decisions are connected. Topics include goal
setting, budgeting basics, responsible spending, financial pressure, consumer
awareness, and developing a healthy relationship with money and success. The course also emphasizes healthy relationships and bullying prevention.
Students will identify characteristics of respectful friendships, family
relationships, dating relationships, communication skills, boundaries, conflict
resolution, empathy, and the effects of bullying, harassment, and manipulation. The “Strongholds & Sex Education” unit encourages students to
understand personal choices, emotional consequences, self-respect,
accountability, and healthy boundaries. Students will receive age-appropriate
sex education instruction covering human development, reproductive health,
abstinence, consent, protection from sexually transmitted infections, emotional
readiness, and the impact of unhealthy behaviors or destructive patterns
