Meg Tanner is a native of Atlanta.  She received her undergraduate (Psychology) and graduate degrees from Georgia State University.  After receiving her Masters in Community Counseling in 1991, she was hired by Village Atlanta to co-develop and direct a residential spiritually based recovery program for homeless mothers and their children. In 1996 she was commissioned by her church as a full-time missionary and began working as a family advocate and youth minister with the Atlanta Youth Project.  In 2000 she began working as an Interrelated teacher for the Atlanta Public School system serving high school students with intellectual, learning and emotional disabilities, primarily boys with emotional and behavioral issues.  She left the official classroom in 2008 and since then has been tutoring students and assisting parents through her academic coaching/parent support/& educational consultation business.  She has partnered with many homeschool families including those at Eastside and assisted dozens of students in successfully completing Mr. Owens Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry courses.
